As we’re about to enter a quieter two weeks, and I’ve already shared some reflections in my last post, I’ll take this opportunity to wish all my friends and colleagues a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Regardless of religious beliefs, the spirit of joy, hope, peace, and love should be with us throughout the year. Christmas is the time of year that reminds me of those values and beliefs that humanity should hold near, always.
The season continues to hold a unique place in my heart. I’ve always said the world changes just a little bit for the better at this time of year, and some of my most precious memories occur at Christmas. Memories of family and friends, favourite food and decorations, songs and shows, Christmas morning through your child’s eyes, and Christmas Eve masses bring a smile (and a tear) to my face. I will take this time to reflect, recharge and most importantly, cherish time with my family.
