It’s been a busy five months since I began exploring my unique skill set and interests, and initiated the topic of ikigai. Now, I transition over to what provides me joy and excitement. Do the two concepts overlap? Perhaps somewhat, but not entirely. Maybe that has contributed to the diversity of my career so far.
No, I’m not crazy enough to begin teaching dance lessons as my next service offering. 🙂 Maybe a bit less exciting, I will discuss my career through the decades, emphasizing my solopreneur journey over the last five years. A funny thing happened on my path to career development. There was a first job. Then a

When speaking with people, I often use the terms “sectors” and “industries” interchangeably and incorrectly. Despite the numerous industries I have worked in, there are countless more that I haven’t explored. Interestingly, many industries are worried about using outsiders. Meaning they’d rather rely on those with specific industry experience. Off-topic – I chuckle when I
I’ve written much about Business Operating Systems (BOS) and how they form the framework for strategy development, deployment, and execution. It is many chain-linked and aligned processes, cascading throughout a company’s functions, teams, and individuals. They operate in alignment with the organization’s core values and purpose (or mission), which are typically identified at the very

I’m using the term “KISS” more frequently of late. I’m not sure if my mental capacity is degrading or if we’re in an environment where people want to add their spin on things for unneeded complexity (and maybe some silliness). Is “new and different” always better? I’ll be the first to say it’s often worth

As I concluded my last series on Business Operating Systems, I mentioned how I was (over)simplifying the Operational Execution sphere. I spent much of my career in Operations, spanning multiple industries, so I feel well-versed in properly planning and executing in this arena. Realizing that no two companies are identical (people, like fingerprints, make sure

As a sole proprietor, my personal or company names are often interchangeable. While I will go by almost anything you call me, I wanted to consolidate and bring to a close the last six blogs I’ve written about Business Operating Systems and how they relate to the logo I chose back in 2019. As I

As the final installment in the series, it’s time to bring everything I’ve written together to provide a cohesive framework that supports your business. We’ve discussed some key elements to bring a company’s vision to life. Strategy development, deployment, and execution. Change management and communication tools. Individual performance management. Scattered throughout the posts have been
